LONCIN x BMW PARTNERSHIP
The collaboration between Loncin and BMW began in 2005, when Loncin began cooperating with BMW to produce 650cc engines. In 2007, Loncin began mass production of these engines, marking an important milestone in the partnership between the two companies. In 2013, they reached a new agreement to supply large-displacement two-cylinder engines, and in March 2015, the large-displacement scooter project officially began.
In 2015, Loncin and BMW celebrated their tenth anniversary of collaboration, as well as the successful completion of the BMW factory at the Loncin facility. This milestone represented a significant achievement for both companies. In the same year, they signed a new agreement, in which Loncin took over the manufacture of large-displacement 350cc water-cooled scooters, in addition to producing engines for BMW. These products were manufactured to BMW’s Euro IV standards and requirements and are sold in BMW’s global markets, including the Chinese market, with an expected annual production of around 15,000 units.
